I don’t want to leave anything to chance in my life. I am probably one of the most organized people that I know, but that allows me to live a comfortable life without any worry. One of the things that I had been putting off though was looking at Jewish memorials in New Jersey. I knew that this was something that needed to be done, but I was not looking forward to picking out the memorial that would end up marking my grave site one day, hopefully in the far, far future.
I know there are some people comfortable with death, but I am not one of them. I knew that I had to figure this out though because I did not want to leave this for my children to do. I knew that it would be traumatic for them without adding to their stress in having to pick out my final arrangements. I also knew that I would be the one who would be able to pick out exactly what I wanted, so I decided to just get it done with. Let me tell you, picking out your own memorial is far easier than I realized once I actually started the process.
The company that I worked with was really fantastic. The customer service I received was considerate, and the quality of work they do is second to none. I was able to look at memorials, tombstones and plaques, and I eventually made the decision to get a bronze memorial with a granite border. I really liked the look of the bronze, but the granite had more color options, and I am a colorful person for sure. When they showed me the end result on the computer, I actually really liked it. That was the last thing I had to do, and I am just really happy that it is complete now.
